What are the possible side effects of Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses?

If any of the following side effects occur while taking Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses sodium, check with your doctor or nurse as soon as possible:

Minor Side Effects
Some Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses sodium side effects may not need any medical attention. As your body gets used to the medicine these side effects may disappear. What is the most important information I should know about Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses?
- Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses may cause dizziness. This effect may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
- It may take 3 to 6 months for Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses to reach its full effect. Do not stop taking Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses or take more than the recommended dose without checking with your doctor.
- Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses may reduce the number of clot-forming cells (platelets) in your blood. Avoid activities that may cause bruising or injury. Tell your doctor if you have unusual bruising or bleeding. Tell your doctor if you have dark, tarry, or bloody stools.
- Tell your doctor or dentist that you take Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses before you receive any medical or dental care, emergency care, or surgery.
- Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 16 years old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses while you are pregnant. It is not known if Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.
Cartrophen Equine Forte for Horses contraindications
"Adults (including the Elderly) and Children
One to two drops applied topically to each affected eye up to six times daily or more frequently if required. (Severe infections may require one to two drops every fifteen to twenty minutes initially, reducing the frequency of instillation gradually as the infection is controlled)."
