How should I use Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg?

  • Take Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg by mouth with or without food. The preferred dosing time is 2 hours after a meal.
  • Shake well before each use.
  • Use a measuring device marked for medicine dosing. Ask your pharmacist for help if you are unsure of how to measure your dose.
  • Take Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg with a full glass of water (8 oz [240 mL]).
  • Drinking extra fluids while you are taking Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg is recommended. Check with your doctor for instructions.
  • If you also take any products containing magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, or zinc (eg, antacids, quinapril, vitamins/minerals); didanosine; sucralfate; or bismuth subsalicylate, do not take them within 6 hours before or 2 hours after taking Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg. Check with your doctor if you have questions.
  • If you also take sevelamer, do not take it within 4 hours before or after taking Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg. Check with your doctor if you have questions.
  • Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg works best if it is taken at the same time each day.
  • To clear up your infection completely, take Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
  • Avoid taking Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg with milk or milk products (eg, calcium-enriched juice, yogurt) by themselves. However, taking Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg as part of a full meal that contains milk or milk products is permitted.
  • Do not miss any doses. If you miss a dose of Ciprofloxacin 250 Mg, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
