What happens if I overdose Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe?

Contact 1-800-222-1222 (the American Association of Poison Control Centers), your local poison control center, or emergency room immediately. Symptoms may include agitation; diarrhea; dizziness; loss of appetite; loss of hearing; mental disturbances; nausea; rapid or difficult breathing; ringing in the ears; seizures; sluggishness; vomiting; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Proper storage of Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe foam:

Store Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe foam at room temperature, between 59 and 77 degrees F (15 and 25 degrees C). Store container upright. Do not freeze. Do not expose to temperatures greater than 120 degrees F (49 degrees C). Do not puncture, break, or burn the canister even if it appears to be empty. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe foam out of the reach of children and away from pets.

This medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, call 911. Otherwise, call a poison control center right away. US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Storage

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Different brands of this medication have different storage needs. Check the product package for instructions on how to store your brand, or ask your pharmacist. Keep all medications away from children and pets.

Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.

Allergies

Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe or any other medicines. Also tell your health care professional if you have any other types of allergies, such as to foods, dyes, preservatives, or animals. For non-prescription products, read the label or package ingredients carefully.

Pediatric

Young children may be at increased risk of unwanted effects because of increased absorption of Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe through the skin. Also, young children may be more likely to get skin irritation from Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe. Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe should not be applied to large areas of the body, used for long periods of time, or used under occlusive dressing (air-tight covering, such as kitchen plastic wrap) in infants and children. Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe should not be used in children younger than 2 years of age.

Geriatric

Elderly people are more likely to have age-related blood vessel disease. This may increase the chance of problems during treatment with Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe.

Breast Feeding

There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe?

Some medical conditions may interact with Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe shampoo. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

Before using Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs-NSAIDs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

This medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: diabetes, poor blood circulation (e.g., peripheral vascular disease), skin infection/irritation.

If you are going to have an MRI test, tell testing personnel if you are using the patch. Some patches may contain metals that can cause serious burns during an MRI. Ask your doctor whether you will need to remove your patch before the test and apply a new patch afterward, and how to do so properly.

Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they are more likely to have blood circulation problems that may make it more difficult for the skin to heal.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. You should not become pregnant while using Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe. Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe may harm an unborn baby. If you become pregnant while using Dermi-cyl Schrundensalbe, talk to your doctor right away about its risk and benefits.

It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
