Edruplex indications

An indication is a term used for the list of condition or symptom or illness for which the medicine is prescribed or used by the patient. For example, acetaminophen or paracetamol is used for fever by the patient, or the doctor prescribes it for a headache or body pains. Edruplex description

Each tablet contains Thiamine (Edruplex) hydrochloride (B1) 100 mg, Pyridoxine (Edruplex) hydrochloride (B6) 200 mg and Cyanocobalamin (Edruplex) (B12) 200 mcg.

Each ampoule contains Thiamine (Edruplex) hydrochloride (B1) 100 mg, Pyridoxine (Edruplex) hydrochloride (B6) 100 mg and Cyanocobalamin (Edruplex) (B12) 1000 mcg.

Edruplex dosage

Tablet: Usual recommended daily dosage is 1 tab 3 times a day or as per doctor's advise.

For treatment during pregnancy, 1 tab daily is recommended.

Injection: In severe cases, 1 amp a day by IM injection, at best by slow intragluteal, until the disappearance of the acute symptoms. In milder cases and for follow-up treatment, 1 amp 2-3 times weekly. Because the possibility of sensitization against vitamin B1, IV injection of Edruplex should be made cautiously and slowly, preferably in the form of infusion.

Edruplex side effects

Generalized: Anaphylactic shock and death have been reported with administration of parenteral vitamin B12.

Cardiovascular: Pulmonary edema and congestive heart failure early in treatment; peripheral vascular thrombosis.

Hematological: Polycythemia vera

Gastrointestinal: Mild transient diarrhea

Dermatological: Itching; transitory exanthema

Miscellaneous: Feeling of swelling of entire body

Contraindications for Vitamin B1 (Edruplex)

Hypersensitivity to vitamin B1 or any component of a product containing vitamin B1.
