Enacomi indications

An indication is a term used for the list of condition or symptom or illness for which the medicine is prescribed or used by the patient. For example, acetaminophen or paracetamol is used for fever by the patient, or the doctor prescribes it for a headache or body pains. A patient should be aware of the indications of medications used for common conditions because they can be taken over the counter in the pharmacy meaning without prescription by the Physician.

Enacomi dosage

Hypertension: Usual Dose: 1 tab administered once daily. If necessary the dosage may be increased to 2 tabs administered once daily.

Prior Diuretic Therapy: Symptomatic hypotension may occur following the initial dose of Enacomi; this is more likely in patients who are volume- or salt-depleted as a result of prior diuretic therapy. The diuretic therapy should be discontinued for 2-3 days prior to initiation of therapy with Enacomi.

Renal Insufficiency: Thiazides may not be appropriate diuretics for use in patients with renal impairment and are ineffective at creatinine clearance values of ≤30 mL/min (ie, moderate or severe renal insufficiency).

In patients with CrCl >30 and <80 mL/min, Enacomi should be used only after titration of the individual components.

The recommended initial dose of Enacomi maleate, when used alone, in mild renal insufficiency is 5-10 mg.
