The action of the drug on the human body is called Pharmacodynamics in Medical terminology. To produce its effect and to change the pathological process that is happening the body and to reduce the symptom or cure the disease, the medicine has to function in a specific way. The changes it does to the body at cellular level gives the desired result of treating a disease. Drugs act by stimulating or inhibiting a receptor or an enzyme or a protein most of the times. Enzyplex contains digestive enzymes, vitamins and all important elements required for optimum digestive process: Amylase (Enzyplex) breaks down carbohydrate into glucose; lipase breaks down fat into glycerol; Protease (Enzyplex) breaks down proteins into amino acids; dimethylpolysiloxane drives the gas away from the stomach, thus relieving gassiness; desoxycholic acid breaks down the fat before being digested by lipase; Vitamin B (Enzyplex)-complex helps in enhancing digestive process and metabolism.

Pharmacokinetics: Following oral administration, Amylase (Enzyplex), Protease (Enzyplex), lipase and dimethylpolysiloxane exert their actions locally in the gastrointestinal tract. Presystemic metabolism is unknown, as is the half-life, the volume of distribution, plasma protein-binding, entry into brain and other tissues, and secretion in human breast milk. Digestive enzymes are excreted in the urine and feces.

The B-complex vitamins are generally readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. They are also widely distributed in the body tissues. Excretion is through the urine as metabolites or in the original form. Each of the B vitamins is a part of an enzyme helper known as co-enzymes. The complete breakdown of amino acids and fat, as well as that of glucose, depends on them.
