How should I use Fexofen?

Use Fexofen as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

  • Take Fexofen by mouth with or without food.
  • Shake well before each use.
  • Use a measuring device marked for medicine dosing. Ask your pharmacist for help if you are unsure of how to measure your dose.
  • Do not drink fruit juice at the same time that you take Fexofen. Certain fruit juices (eg, grapefruit, apple, orange) may decrease Allegra suspension's effectiveness.
  • If you take antacids that contain aluminum or magnesium, do not take them at the same time as Fexofen. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how to take them with Fexofen.
  • If you miss a dose of Fexofen, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
