Symptomatic relief of flu, headache, nasal congestion, cough, cold, fever.
Flu Stop dosage
Caplet Adult 1 caplet 3 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr ½ caplet 3 times daily. Syr Adult 20 mL 3-4 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr 10 mL 3 times daily.
Flu Stop interactions
Co-administration w/ MAOIs may result in hypertensive crisis.
Flu Stop side effects
GI disorders, psychomotor disorders, tachycardia, arrhythmia, palpitations, urinary retention, drowsiness; hepatic impairment (high dose & in prolonged therapy).
Flu Stop contraindications
Patients sensitive to other sympathomimetic drugs (eg ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine), severe HTN, receiving MAOIs therapy; severe hepatic dysfunction.
