How should I use Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma?
Use Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma suppositories as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Avoid excessive handling of the suppository. It is designed to melt at body temperature.
- Wash your hands before and after using Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma suppositories. If the suppository is too soft to use, put it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. You may also run cold water over it. Remove the wrapper. Moisten the suppository with cool water. Lie down on your side. Insert the pointed end of the suppository into the rectum. Use your finger to push it in completely.
- If you miss a dose of Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma suppositories and you are using it regularly, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Uses of Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma in details
This medication is used to treat minor pain, itching, swelling, and discomfort caused by hemorrhoids and other problems of the anal area (e.g., anal fissures, itching). Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma is a corticosteroid that reduces redness, itching, and swelling.
How to use Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma rectal
Before use, clean the affected area with mild soap and water, rinse well, and pat dry.
To apply this product inside the anus, use the applicator tip/cap/nozzle, following all instructions in the product package, or use as directed by your doctor. Fill the applicator with medication from the container as directed. Gently insert the applicator tip just 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) inside the anus and apply in and around the anal opening as directed. Do not insert your finger or any part of the container into the anus, and do not insert the applicator tip/nozzle more than 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) inside the anus. Do not use your finger to apply this medication inside the anus. If you are using a single-use tube and applicator, discard after one use.
To apply the product to the outside of the anus only, use your finger to apply a small amount of cream or ointment to the affected area and rub in gently.
Do not cover the area with plastic or waterproof bandages unless directed to do so by your doctor. Covering the treated area may increase the absorption of the medication through the skin. This may improve how well the drug works, but it may also increase the risk of side effects.
Wash hands immediately after use. Avoid getting the product in your eyes, nose, ears or mouth. If the medication gets in these areas, rinse the area immediately with clean water.
This product is usually used 2 to 4 times daily, or after each bowel movement, or as directed by your doctor. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day.
Do not use more of this product, use it more often, or keep using it longer than prescribed by your doctor. If you have been using this medication for a long time or in high doses, do not suddenly stop using it without your doctor's approval. Some conditions may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens after 1 to 2 weeks.

Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 100 mg contains Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma sodium succinate equivalent to Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 100 mg, monobasic sodium phosphate 1 mg, dibasic sodium 9 mg and sodium hydroxide 10%.
Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 100 mg/2 mL contains Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma sodium succinate equivalent to Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 100 mg/2 mL, monobasic sodium phosphate 1 mg, dibasic sodium 10 mg and sodium hydroxide 10%.
Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 250 mg/2 mL contains Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma sodium succinate equivalent to Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 250 mg/2 mL, monobasic sodium phosphate 2 mg, dibasic sodium phosphate 25 mg and sodium hydroxide 10%.
Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 500 mg/4 mL contains Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma sodium succinate equivalent to Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma 500 mg/4 mL, monobasic sodium phosphate 5 mg, dibasic sodium phosphate 52 mg and sodium hydroxide 10%.
Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma sodium succinate or pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione,21-(3-carboxy-1-oxopropoxy)-11,17-dihydroxy; monosodium salt,(11β) is an anti-inflammatory adrenocortical steroid. This highly water-soluble sodium succinate ester of Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma permits the immediate IV administration of high doses of Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma in a small volume of diluent and is particularly useful where high blood levels of Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma are required rapidly.
When necessary, the pH of Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma was adjusted with sodium hydroxide so that the pH of the reconstituted solution is within the USP specified range of 7-8.
Hydrocortisone Kalbe Farma dosage
Apply to the affected area as a thin film from two to four times daily depending on the severity of the condition.
Occlusive dressings may be used for the management of psoriasis or recalcitrant conditions.
If an infection develops, the use of occlusive dressings should be discontinued and appropriate antimicrobial therapy instituted.

(Systemic use):Mineralocorticoid adverse effects ( retention of sodium and water, with oedema and hypertension ), increased excretion of potassium with the possibility of hypokalaemic alkalosis, cardiac failure, disturbances of electrolyte balance, osteoporosis, spontaneous fractures, muscle wasting and nitrogen depletion, hyperglycaemia, menstrual irregularities. Immunosuppression, cushingoid symptoms ( with moon-face, hirsutism, buffalo hump, flushing, CHF, psychic disturbances, sudden blindness, Adrenal suppression, avascular necrosis, cataracts, cutaneous or subcutaneous tissue atrophy, growth suppression ( in children ), impaired wound healing, pancreatitis, peptic ulceration or intestinal perforation, tendon rupture and thin, fragile skin.(Topical use):Stinging, burning, irritation, dryness, or redness at the application site may occur. Acne, unusual hair growth, "hair bumps" (folliculitis), skin thinning/discoloration, or stretch marks may also occur.
