  • Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior). Using Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) alone, with certain other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or perform other potentially dangerous tasks.
  • Do NOT exceed the recommended dose or take Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
  • If your symptoms do not improve within 5 to 7 days or if they become worse, check with your doctor.
  • Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) may cause increased sensitivity to the sun. Avoid exposure to the sun, sunlamps, or tanning booths until you know how you react to Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior). Use a sunscreen or protective clothing if you must be outside for a prolonged period.
  • If you are scheduled for allergy skin testing, do not take Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) for several days before the test because it may decrease your response to the skin tests.
  • Before you have any medical or dental treatments, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior).
  • Use Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) with caution in the ELDERLY because they may be more sensitive to its effects.
  • Caution is advised when using Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) in CHILDREN because they may be more sensitive to its effects.
  • PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant while taking Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior), discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Chlorpheniramine (Iyafin Junior) during pregnancy.   • Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
  • Do not take more than the recommended dose or use more often than prescribed with checking with your doctor.
  • If your cough lasts for more than 1 week or comes back, or if you also have a fever, rash, or persistent headache, contact your health care provider. A persistent cough could be a sign of a serious condition.
  • Do not use Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips for a cough with a lot of mucus. Do not use it for a long-term cough (eg, caused by asthma, emphysema, smoking). However, you may use it for these conditions if your doctor tells you to.
  • Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips has Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) in it. Before you being taking any new prescription or nonprescription medicine, check the label to see if it has Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) in it too. If it does or if you are not sure, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
  • Diabetes patients - Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips may contain sugar and affect your blood sugar level. Read the label carefully before using Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips.
  • Do not use Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips in CHILDREN younger than 6 years old without checking with the child's doctor; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
  • PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: It is not known if Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips can cause harm to the fetus. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips while you are pregnant. It is not known if Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking Dextromethorphan (Iyafin Junior) orally disintegrating strips.

The most commonly reported adverse effects have included cardiovascular and (e.g. elevated blood pressure, tachycardia, or arrhythmias), CNS stimulation (e.g. restlessness, insomnia, anxiety, tremors, and rarely hallucinations), skin rashes, and urinary retention.

What is the most important information I should know about Pseudoephedrine (Iyafin Junior)?

  • Pseudoephedrine (Iyafin Junior) sustained-release tablets (24 hour) may cause dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Pseudoephedrine (Iyafin Junior) sustained-release tablets (24 hour). Using Pseudoephedrine (Iyafin Junior) sustained-release tablets (24 hour) alone, with certain other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or perform other potentially dangerous tasks.

this medicine is contraindicated in individuals who have previously exhibited intolerance to it or to Pseudoephedrine (Iyafin Junior) or triprolidine.

this medicine is contraindicated in patients who are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors within the preceding two weeks. The concomitant use of Pseudoephedrine (Iyafin Junior) and this type of product may occasionally cause a rise in blood pressure.

this medicine is contraindicated in patients with severe hypertension or severe coronary artery disease.

The antibacterial agent furazolidone, is known to cause a dose-related inhibition of monoamine oxidase. Although there are no reports of hypertensive crises caused by the concurrent administration of Multi-Action ACTIFED Tablets and furazolidone they should not be taken together.

Before you take citric acid and Sodium Citrate (Iyafin Junior), tell your doctor about all your medical conditions, especially kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, a history of heart attack, urinary problems, swelling (edema), or chronic diarrhea (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease).

Also tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including over-the-counter medications and household remedies.

Citric acid and Sodium Citrate (Iyafin Junior) should be taken after meals to help prevent stomach or intestinal side effects.

The liquid medicine should be mixed with water or juice. Drink plenty of liquids while you are taking citric acid and Sodium Citrate (Iyafin Junior).

Your treatment may include a special diet. You should become very familiar with the list of foods you should eat or avoid to help control your condition.

Avoid using antacids without your doctor's advice, including household baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). Antacids that contain aluminum or sodium can interact with citric acid and Sodium Citrate (Iyafin Junior), causing a serious electrolyte imbalance or aluminum toxicity.

Avoid eating foods that are high in salt, or using extra table salt on your meals.

To be sure citric acid and Sodium Citrate (Iyafin Junior) is helping your condition, your blood and urine may need to be tested often. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not miss any scheduled appointments.

Serious side effects of citric acid and Sodium Citrate (Iyafin Junior) include muscle twitching or cramps, swelling or weight gain, weakness, mood changes, rapid and shallow breathing, fast heart rate, restless feeling, black or bloody stools, severe diarrhea, or seizure (convulsions).
