Allergic rhinitis, hay fever, periodic rhinitis, urticaria, pruritus, eczema, Quincke’s edema, seasonal conjunctivitis, reactions during desensitization, prophylaxis for asthma.
Nipolazin 0.03% is a histamine H1 antagonist (antihistamine). It competes with histamine for the normal H1-receptor sites on effector cells of the gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels and respiratory tract. It provides effective, temporary relief of sneezing, watery and itchy eyes, and runny nose due to hay fever and other upper respiratory allergies.
Allergic conditions
Adult: 5 mg bid.
Nipolazin 0.03% can interact with CNS depressant, antichlolinergic, TCA, MAOIs, and alcohol.
CNS depression including slight drowsiness to deep sleep, lassitude, dizziness, incoordination. Headache, psychomotor impairment and antimuscarinic effects. Rarely, rashes and hypersensitivity reactions, blood disorders, convulsions, sweating, myalgia, paraesthesias, extrapyramidal effects, tremor, confusion, sleep and GI disturbances, tinnitus, hypotension, hair loss. Photosensitivity, jaundice.
