Pregnancy of Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray in details

When administered intravenously, Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray crosses the placenta. Decongestants are not the preferred agents for the treatment of rhinitis during pregnancy. Short-term use (<3 days) of intranasal Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray may be beneficial to some patients, although its safety during pregnancy has not been studied (Wallace, 2008).

Small amounts of Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray are secreted in breast milk. The manufacturer recommends that due to the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants, a decision should be made to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
