Hecto Violet R belongs to the group of medicines called antifungals.
Topical Hecto Violet R is used to treat some types of fungus infections inside the mouth (thrush) and of the skin.
Hecto Violet R is available without a prescription.

For the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections inside the mouth (thrush) and skin, also for the prevention of transmission of Chagas' disease (as a blood additive). (Fungal infection;)

Usual Adult Dose for Fungal Infection Prophylaxis
Apply directly to cleaned area/wound with a cotton-tipped applicator once or twice daily.

Renal Dose Adjustments
There are no data concerning the dosing of Hecto Violet R topical in patients with renal dysfunction.
Liver Dose Adjustments

Precautions
For external use only. Medication will stain skin and clothing. Not for application to ulcerative lesions as this could result in permanent staining of the skin. Do not use in the eyes. In cases of deep or puncture wounds or serious burns, consult a physician. If redness, irritation, swelling or pain persists or increases, or if infection occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Dialysis
There are no data on the dialysis clearance of Hecto Violet R topical.
