Infusion conc Latent & manifest hepatic encephalopathy. Granules Reduction of elevated blood ammonia values in serious liver diseases w/ symptoms of latent & manifest hepatic encephalopathy.
Hepa-merz Granul dosage
Infusion conc Usually up to 4 amp daily. Pre-coma & coma Up to 8 amp during the 1st day. Severe cases: 4 amp/day. Granules 1-2 sachet up to tds, dissolved in a glass of water.
Hepa-merz Granul side effects
Infusion conc: Nausea, vomiting (uncommon). Granules: Nausea, vomiting, stomachache, flatulence, diarrhea (uncommon); pain in the limbs (very rare).
Hepa-merz Granul contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe renal impairment (>3 mg/100 mL serum creatinine).
