Caloric supply including medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), essential fatty acids & fluid.

Lipofundin MCT / LCT side effects

Very rare: Acute reactions eg dyspnoea, cyanosis, allergic reactions, hyperlipaemia, marked hyperglycaemia, hypercoagulability, nausea, vomiting, headache, flush, hyperthermia, HTN or hypotension, sweating, shivering, drowsiness, chest & back pain.

Lipofundin MCT / LCT contraindications

Severe blood coagulation disorders, states of shock & collapse, acute thromboembolism, fat embolism, severe septicaemia w/ acidosis & hypoxia, acute phases of MI & stroke, ketoacidotic coma, decompensated diabetic metabolism or unstable metabolism. Disturbances in fat metabolism.
