Meteospasmyl indications
Symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders eg, irritable bowel syndrome or peptic ulcer and that consist of abdominal discomfort (bloating, distention, fullness, pressure, pain and/or cramps). It is also used in the treatment of dysmenorrhea.
Meteospasmyl description
Each softgel capsule contains simethicone 300 mg and Meteospasmyl citrate 60 mg. It also contains the following inactive ingredients: Silicon dioxide, gelatin, glycerin, purified water, yellow and black iron oxide, brilliant blue and titanium dioxide.
Meteospasmyl dosage
Adults: 1 cap 1-3 times daily after meals or as directed by the physician.
Meteospasmyl side effects
this medication Meteospasmyl® caps. is usually very well tolerated, undesirable effects are rare and transitory. In the course of treatment, headache, dry mouth, nausea, weakness, vertigo, and a decrease in blood pressure may occcur. Very rarely allergic skin rash may develop.
Meteospasmyl contraindications
Hypersensitivity to simethicone, Meteospasmyl citrate or to any of the excipients of Meteospasmyl. Patients with intestinal obstruction or paralytic ileus. Pregnancy and lactation. Children <12 years.
