What happens if I overdose Pirantelis?

Contact 1-800-222-1222 (the American Association of Poison Control Centers), your local, or emergency room immediately.

Proper storage of Pirantelis chewable tablets:

Store Pirantelis chewable tablets at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Pirantelis chewable tablets out of the reach of children and away from pets.

What should I avoid while taking Pirantelis?

Treatment of family members and other close contacts may be necessary. Pinworm is spread very easily to others in close contact with the infected person.

To prevent reinfection, toilets must be disinfected daily, and clothing, linens, towels, and pajamas must be changed and washed daily.

Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Pirantelis may cause dizziness. If you experience dizziness, avoid these activities.

Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: liver disease, malnutrition, anemia, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery if this medication makes you drowsy or dizzy. Pirantelis should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if Pirantelis is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Pirantelis?
