Rupatek is used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and urticaria (hives).
Rupatek description
Rupatek is a second generation antihistamine and PAF antagonist used to treat allergies. It was discovered and developed by J. Uriach y Cia, S. A. and is marketed under several trade names such as Rupatek, Alergoliber, Rinialer, Pafinur, Rupax and Rupatek.
Rupatek dosage
Oral
Allergic rhinitis; Chronic idiopathic urticaria
Adult: 10 mg once daily.
Rupatek interactions
Increased systemic exposure w/ ketoconazole & erythromycin; grapefruit juice. Alcohol, CNS depressants, statins.
Rupatek side effects
Somnolence, headache, dizziness; dry mouth; fatigue, asthenia.
Rupatek contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Avoid alcohol.
