These are more frequent than the dose used is high and prolonged treatment and require immediate discontinuation of treatment.
Hypersensitivity reactions:
Dermatological: rash, urticaria and exacerbation of chronic urticaria, pruritus, purpura. Rare cases of erythema multiforme and bullous eruptions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis) requiring immediate discontinuation of treatment. Unique opportunity to photosensitization.
Respiratory: the occurrence of asthma may be linked in some people an allergy to aspirin or NSAIDs.
General: general malaise and hypotension, angioedema, anaphylactic shock.
Effects on the central nervous system:
Dizziness, rare.
Renal:
Fluid retention, hyperkalemia.
Acute renal failure (ARF) function in patients with risk factors.
Kidney organics can lead to IRA: isolated cases of interstitial nephritis, acute tubular necrosis, nephrotic syndrome, papillary necrosis have been reported.
Urinary: urinary (cystalgie, dysuria and urinary frequency), hematuria or cystitis may occur. Severe cases have been exceptionally reported when treatment was continued. These disorders are reversible upon discontinuation of treatment.

Surgam SR contraindications
History of allergy or asthma triggered by taking Surgam SR or substances of similar activity such as other NSAIDs, aspirin,
- History of allergy to other constituents of the tablet,
- Peptic ulcer evolving
- Severe liver failure,
- Renal failure,
- Severe heart failure uncontrolled
- Children under 15 kg, approximately less than 4 years (because of the inadequate dosing unit)
- Beyond 24 weeks of gestation (age 5 months of pregnancy):
administration in the 2nd and 3rd quarters exposes: renal functional impairment may occur in utero from 12 weeks of gestation (start of fetal diuresis): trace amnion (usually reversible with the discontinuation), or anamnios especially during a prolonged exposure, at birth, renal failure (reversible or not) can persist especially if late and prolonged exposure (with a risk of severe hyperkalemia delayed) and a risk of harm cardiopulmonary constriction partial or complete in utero ductus arteriosus. The constriction of the ductus arteriosus may occur from 5 months of age and can lead to right heart failure or fetal or neonatal fetal death in utero. This risk is even more important that the outlet is near term (less reversibility). This effect exists even for a timely decision, a risk of prolongation of bleeding time for mother and child. Therefore, beyond 24 weeks of gestation (5 months old): any point is made even cons-indicated. An inadvertently fly beyond 24 weeks of gestation (5 months of age) warrants monitoring cardiac and kidney, fetal and / or neonatal exposure by term. The duration of this monitoring will be adapted to the half-life of the molecule.
